1:1 Coaching Training Program
Individual coaching for technique or personalized goals. One-on-one instruction tailored to each dancer's needs — refining placement and technique, preparing for an audition or placement, working through a specific weakness, or building toward a personal goal. Open to PBA students and dancers from outside the academy. Three-month minimum commitment.
At Pryntsev Ballet Academy we believe that performing on stage is not only a powerful motivator but an essential part of a dancer's development. Every season our students have the opportunity to join the PBA Competition Team and showcase their talents on regional and national stages. Our dedication to excellence has led to remarkable achievements. PBA students have consistently earned regional recognition, received national invitations, and achieved top honors — including placements in the Top 1, Top 3 and Top 12 at the Youth America Grand Prix in both Classical and Contemporary categories. Participation in the competition program also serves as a stepping stone for dancers aspiring to join a company. The rigorous training, exposure and experience gained through competition prepare our dancers for the professional world and make them strong candidates for company positions. Students gain invaluable experience, build confidence, and strive for artistic excellence. We are proud of our students' accomplishments and are committed to providing the guidance and support they need to reach their full potential. It is never too late to reach out to us.

Step into a time filled with sweet dreams and Christmas magic. California Ballet Theater and Pryntsev Ballet Academy's production of The Nutcracker is a family tradition perfect for all ages, set to Tchaikovsky's timeless score. Every December our dancers step onto a professional stage, in full costume, before a live audience. All roles are open by audition, and enrollment at Pryntsev Ballet Academy is not required to participate — dancers from other schools are welcome. Audition & registration fee: $30 — covers all auditions if attending more than one. Pre-registration encouraged. Please arrive at least 30 minutes before your scheduled time for check-in and warm-up, and tell the front desk if you are participating in more than one audition. Every dancer who auditions is cast in the production. Roles are assigned by the artistic staff based on readiness and the needs of the ballet. Rehearsals run weekly from October through the performance, with additional rehearsals in the final weeks; the full schedule is given at casting. A participation fee and costume rental apply — details are provided at casting.

ages 7–9 · Youth Dancers
Students learn the fundamental concepts of classical ballet — ballet terminology, proper technique, and the study of exercises. Every class begins with floor stretching and strengthening. Placement is the most important skill taught at this level. Students learn basic feet and arm positions and begin working with musical phrasing. Repetition builds strength, flexibility, and coordination. Students also gain an appreciation for ballet as an art form and learn to express themselves through movement to classical music. Each 90-minute class combines ballet technique with dedicated stretching — flexibility is a primary focus at this stage of training. PLACEMENT: Placement is guided by age, and the final decision is made by the teacher based on each student's readiness and skills. We are always happy to talk through the right fit for your dancer.
ages 9–11 · Youth Dancers
Structured ballet program for students ages 9-11. The program focuses on the proper study of body, leg, arm and head positions; the initial study of jumps and pre-pointe movements; mastering elementary skills in movement coordination and expressiveness of execution; and a first acquaintance with technique. Our goal is to help students achieve proper fundamental ballet skills. Students learn self-discipline, the ability to focus on goals, and the capacity to work cooperatively with others. This level is where professional training begins. Whether or not a student chooses to make this a career, the foundation of proper ballet skills will be ingrained for the rest of their life. The curriculum emphasizes strength, flexibility, balance, rhythm, musicality, and coordination. Students build their dance vocabulary, improve memory for steps and combinations, and prepare for more advanced ballet training. PLACEMENT: Placement is guided by age, and the final decision is made by the teacher based on each student's readiness and skills. We are always happy to talk through the right fit for your dancer.
